Ankeny Author Interviewed

A while back, blogger Kristin Rose got a direct message on Instagram. It was from an Ankeny writer named Michelle Schlicher, who asked if Kristin was willing to read her book, and maybe write a review. “I was over the moon!” says Kristin. “Did an actual writer ask me to read and review her book? This is all I want from life! Of course I replied as fast as I could, YES!!”

screen-shot-2017-01-30-at-11-05-56Michelle had already written two books: “The Blue Jay” and “Gracie’s Song,” before publishing “Come This Way,” the book Kristin reviewed. On Michelle’s website Kristin read a lot about Michelle’s life as a writer. It’s a great website to browse if you are an aspiring writer like Kristin. Michelle really lets you take a peek in her life! And it turns out those magicians called writers do live a normal life, like all of us.

Kristin read “Come This Way” in a week, and loved it! She decided to contact Michelle to ask her some questions. She knew Michelle was really busy taking care of her family and finalizing a fourth book! (she’s on a roll!), but a willing trade for reading her book. Full Interview.
